Bass Law Wins Critical Appeal on Expedited Basis

We served as appellate counsel and worked alongside Holland & Knight to successfully defend vitally important zoning approvals for a landmark redevelopment project by the Continuum Company in North Miami. The case involved the Mariner’s Bay Condominium Association, whose aging infrastructure and costly recertification obligations made continued operation unsustainable. The Association voted to terminate the condominium and sell the property for redevelopment into an ultra-luxury waterfront community. After two residents challenged the zoning approvals, we instantly moved the appellate court to expedite the proceedings, filing our appellate brief within four (4) business days of receipt of the appellate record.

The Court then ruled in our favor within twenty-four (24) hours of oral argument—clearing the way for a transformative project that one resident described as “a lifeline”.
